From CMMI overview presentation... :)
Process improvment should be done to help the business - not for its own sake.

Where is the end...
I beleive that there is no end either for telecom or information technologies.
There are few root reasons of this:
- economical: since everything is based on money, even if you don't actualy need some sort of technology, you will have to develop it
- cultural and political: the now days culture and polical views are based on "non-stop i want more and more". this principle is also applicable to economy.
Basically, no body knows what to they want realy. They are doing something just to do somethings. There is no any other why. Just imagine, developed and launched GSM. If you would say that it is enough, all telecom experts are not needed any more, money flows stops. But they can't stop, otherwise what they would do? :)
These reasons are root reasons of why we are doing and doing something in the are of telecom, information technology or anything else. Just to keep every body busy, not beacuse it is actually needed by some body.
That were phylosophical aspects.
